The Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles, visited the Buenavista Palace, headquarters of the Army Headquarters, where she stressed the relevance of the Army Logistic Support Command (MALE) as a strategic piece in the modernization of the logistic and technological capabilities of the Armed Forces.
During the visit, Robles learned about the progress made in the creation of the Army Logistics Base (BLET), a priority project of the Ministry of Defense that will bring together in Cordoba all the Parks and Maintenance Centers under an integrated technological model. This initiative will allow greater efficiency in the maintenance of Army resources and will promote employment and development in the region.
Major General Raimundo Rodriguez presented to the Minister the main axes of the MALE: sustaining capabilities, acquisitions and commitment to innovation. In this context, he highlighted the 'Army 2035' program, which seeks to anticipate future challenges by improving the protection, interoperability and combat capability of the troops.
Margarita Robles also praised the operational readiness of the MALE in both national and international missions. She highlighted the logistical support provided to Ukraine and the immediate action taken during the emergency caused by the DANA in the Valencian Community.
