Alias 57, second leader of Clan del Golfo in Meta captured

Joint action led to the capture of a key Clan del Golfo target
In the course of sustained military operations, troops of the Seventh Brigade of the National Army, in coordination with the National Police, captured in the last hours alias 57 o Chanelidentified as Elkin Daniel Guisao, 37 years old. This individual was considered the second leader of the Gonzalo Oquendo Urrego substructure, belonging to the Grupo Armado Organizado Clan del Golfo.
The capture took place in the sector known as Pompeya, in a rural area of Villavicencio, Meta, thanks to military intelligence information that allowed its precise location.
Alias 57 was accused of ordering the execution of the so-called "Plan Pistola" against the security forces in Meta, and of coordinating multiple acts of violence in the southeast of the country.

- Homicide of two cattle ranchers in the inspection of Cooperativa, Meta (September 2023)
- Selective killings in the sector of Tropezón, municipality of Puerto López, Meta (October 2023)
- Assassination of a councilman in the sector of La Jungla, Mapiripán, Meta (September 2024)
- Planning of "Plan Pistola" against members of the security forces in May 2025
He exercised his criminal influence in the municipalities of Mapiripán, San Carlos de Guaroa, Puerto López and Barranca de Upía (Meta), as well as in Tauramena, Maní, Villanueva and Monterrey (Casanare).

The capture of this leader directly affected the command, control, logistics and financial capabilities of the Gonzalo Oquendo Urrego substructure of the Clan del Golfo. His arrest partially dismantles the chain of command in the departments of Meta and Casanare, where this organization had an active presence.
