Experts from six countries addressed the role of information in military operations and social development in strategic areas
For three days, the Colombian Aerospace Force (FAC) hosted the IV International Seminar on Integral Action, an academic and strategic space that brought together representatives from Mexico, Ecuador, the United States, Peru, France and Colombia, with the aim of sharing experiences in the domain of information and its application in the military field.
The seminar was inaugurated by Major General Kerly Sánchez Pesca, Commander of Human Development of the FAC, who presented the paper "Illicit crop substitution project led by the Colombian Aerospace Force in Vichada". This program, with a social approach, was born more than ten years ago when the officer was in command of the Joint Task Force Ares, and has had a positive impact on vulnerable communities in this region of the country.
Among the outstanding presentations, Vice Admiral Leon Espinosa Torres, director of the War College, spoke on "Information Dominance and Military Transformation in Colombia", developing key doctrinal concepts and strategic capabilities aimed at strengthening institutional action in the new information environment.
The event included the participation of military and air attachés from Mexico and Ecuador in Colombia, as well as national and international speakers, consolidating an exchange space for updating information operations and integral action.
In its fourth edition, the seminar was held in person and virtually, aimed at the integral action and strategic communications personnel of the Military Forces, as well as civilian personnel, non-uniformed military personnel and Professional Reserve Officers of the FAC.
The Colombian Aerospace Force continues to strengthen its commitment to institutional development, interagency work and social impact for the benefit of the country.
