New system combines aerostats and secure communications to provide real-time visual intelligence and end-to-end battlefield connectivity
Within the framework of the defense fair DEFEA 2025the companies RT LTA Systems y Creomagic have officially introduced SkyCneta solution for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) which promises to transform the tactical connectivity of deploying units.
The proposal arises from a concrete need in the field: "One of the big problems in operations is accurately describing to soldiers the situation around them."he explained Rami ShmueliRT LTA Systems' general manager, in statements to EDR On-Line. To address this gap, the Israeli company, which specializes in aerostats, has teamed up with Creomagic, experts in real-time secure tactical communications.
The solution consists of raising a camera and a radio repeater over the battlefieldcreating a communications "bubble" that allows the soldiers to receive real-time visual intelligence and maintain secure communications within the area of operation.
"The idea is to point the camera at the target, transmit the images to the troops and allow them to focus on the mission, all within a completely secure private network." Alex ShapochnikCEO of Creomagic.
The system combines a SkyStar 120 of RT LTA with personal communications device Creomagic CreoHubresulting in the following system SkyCnet.
The SkyStar 120 is a microtactic aerostat with a diameter of 3.4 meters, capable of operating up to 300 meters altitude for a maximum of 8 hoursand withstand winds of up to 35 knots. Its portable design allows it to be deployed from a trailer or off-road vehicle, making it especially useful for light infantry. It can be operational in only 15 minutes and transport up to 4 kg payload.
Within this capability, it includes a day/night stabilized camera and a radio CreoHubavailable in two versions:
Both versions work in bands UHF, L, S and C, they use AES-256 encryption and can operate up to 12 hours on a single batterywith dual battery option.
SkyCnet is oriented to lower level unitsthat require mobility, autonomy and a persistent ISR network in unconventional combat environments. The combination of tactical airborne technology with an encrypted communications network makes it a valuable tool for reconnaissance, perimeter control, hostile terrain patrolling and special operations missions..
