Ecuador strengthens its operational capabilities with the delivery of two Airbus H225 helicopters to the Army. The delivery ceremony took place on June 2 at Fort Huancavilca in Guayaquil, headed by President Daniel Noboa Azin, Minister of Defense Gian Carlo Loffredo and the Military High Command.

These French-made aircraft are designed for multiple missions, from security operations to rescue and emergency response. They represent a milestone in the strengthening of the Ecuadorian Armed Forces in the context of the internal armed conflict.

A technological leap for national security

The Airbus H225s can carry up to 23 passengers, have a payload of 4,500 kg, a speed of 280 km/h and a flight range of 3 continuous hours. They are equipped with a rescue crane, Bambi Bucket system for firefighting, and state-of-the-art technology for missions in difficult access areas.

Strong government support

During his speech, President Noboa reaffirmed his support for the Armed Forces, highlighting their crucial role in national defense:

Soldiers of the Homeland, you are not alone. We will win this battle with honesty, honor and unity.

For his part, Minister Loffredo announced the arrival of three additional helicopters during the year, along with the acquisition of drones, pick-up trucks and technological systems to reinforce military logistics and the control of illicit activities such as illegal mining.

More than combat: humanitarian response and rescue

The versatility of these helicopters allows them to respond to national emergencies, travel to isolated areas to deliver humanitarian aid or perform medical evacuations, contributing to the safety and well-being of the population.

The Government thus reaffirms its commitment to maintaining internal peace and equipping its Armed Forces to act effectively in the face of any threat.
