The recent murder of 11 Ecuadorian soldiers at the hands of irregular armed groups has deeply shaken the nation. This act of extreme violence, perpetrated in the Amazon region, has been described by authorities as a direct attack on national security and peace in the country. In response, the Ecuadorian government, through the Armed Forces, has launched a major military operation in the province of Orellana, specifically in the Alto Punino area, an area known for the presence of criminal organizations linked to drug trafficking and illegal activities.
With the support of combat helicopters, specialized logistical equipment and state-of-the-art technology, Ecuadorian Army units are intensifying offensive reconnaissance and territorial search tasks. The resources deployed include unmanned surveillance systems, such as reconnaissance drones, advanced tactical communication means, tracking sensors and operational intelligence support. This combination of capabilities seeks to locate those responsible for the massacre and dismantle the armed groups that threaten the stability of the region.
The Commander General of the Army himself, Brigadier General Henry Delgado Salvador, has gone to the area of operations to personally direct the actions from the field. His presence symbolizes the determination of the Armed Forces not to give in to threats and to act firmly in the defense of national sovereignty.
According to official sources, these operations are not only aimed at capturing those responsible for the murder of the 11 soldiers, but also at re-establishing state control in areas that have been infiltrated by criminal elements. Authorities have emphasized that there will be no room for impunity and that the full weight of the law will fall on those who attack law enforcement and the civilian population.
"The war is against terrorists."The military and government authorities have stated categorically, making it clear that those responsible for these violent acts will be prosecuted and brought to justice.
The Ecuadorian people, still dismayed by the loss of their soldiers, watch with attention and hope the development of these operations, confident that security will be restored in the region and the memory of the fallen will be honored.
