Ecuador responds forcefully to the murder of 11 soldiers: Intensive military operations in Orellana

The recent murder of 11 Ecuadorian soldiers at the hands of irregular armed groups has deeply shaken the nation. This act of extreme violence, perpetrated in the Amazon region, has been described by authorities as a direct attack on national security and peace in the country. In response, the Ecuadorian government, through the Armed Forces, has launched a major military operation in the province of Orellana, specifically in the Alto Punino area, an area known for the presence of criminal organizations linked to drug trafficking and illegal activities.
