The Armed Forces intensify the search operation in Pisco with specialized personnel and inter-institutional support.
The Peruvian Armed Forces have concentrated their efforts in a specific area of the Pisco coastline, where the impact of the aircraft piloted by FAP Ensign Ashley Vargas Mendoza is presumed to have occurred. This was informed by the Minister of Defense, Walter Astudillo Chavez, during the conference after the Council of Ministers.
According to the head of the sector, the search area has already been delimited and important parts of the fuselage have been found, which reinforces the impact hypothesis. Navy personnel continue to carry out underwater work at the site.
The operation has entered its final phase, with an increase in specialized personnel. "From the initial 10 Navy divers, we now have 20, which reinforces the actions in the determined area," highlighted Astudillo. In addition, units from the Peruvian Air Force, Army and National Police are participating, as well as civilian entities.
The Minister reiterated the National Government's commitment to maintain transparency at every stage of this operation. "When we have verified information, it will be communicated with the seriousness and respect that the case deserves," he concluded.
