
In a forceful joint operation, Colombian Army troops seized fifty firearms and abundant war material as part of a joint operation with the Colombian National Army. Ayacucho Plus PlanThe company was responsible for the dismantling of a criminal network dedicated to arms trafficking based in Bogota.
The action was led by members of the Gaula Militar Cundinamarcaattached to the 13th Brigade of the Army, in coordination with the CTI of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Nation. During the operation, the following were seized 30 long guns, 19 small armsa rocket launcher, 100 suppliers, 5 telescopic sightsa silencer for rifle and more than 2000 cartridges of different calibers. In addition, the following were found 54 camouflaged uniform replicas, 10 pavas for military use and more than 30 million pesos in cash.
All the material was handed over to the competent judicial authorities in order to move forward with the prosecution of those captured.
According to military intelligence investigations, the modus operandi of the network was to obtain weapons from within military units, which were later used as a means to obtain weapons. sold to organized armed groups in different regions of the country.
