An institutional act highlights the work of the Army and the Navy, with the presence of the Minister Margarita Robles and the President of Correos, Pedro Saura.

Correos has officially presented a new commemorative stamp dedicated to the Armed Forces Day 2025 (DIFAS), in a ceremony held in the presence of the Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles, and the President of Correos, Pedro Saura. The ceremony included the traditional honorary postmark.

The stamp is part of the 'Armed Forces' series and depicts members of the Army, Air Force and Space, and the Navy, over the waving flag of Spain and the coat of arms of the autonomous community of the Canary Islands. This year, the cities of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria have been designated official venues of the DIFAS, with events scheduled from June 3 to 8.

An institutional tribute to those who serve Spain

The Armed Forces Day is an ephemeris established since 1978 with the aim of bringing the Spanish society closer to the work of its military, highlighting their commitment to defense, peace and freedom. This 2025, the central parade will be presided over by HM King Felipe VI on June 7 in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, while on June 6 a naval parade will be held in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

Minister Robles highlighted the value of the seal as a symbolic recognition:

It is a way for the citizens to thank the selfless and close work of our military, as well as that of the employees of the Post Office.

For his part, Pedro Saura emphasized the affinity between the two institutions:

Correos shares the vocation of public service, bringing essential resources closer to all citizens.

How to get the commemorative stamp

The stamp, with a postal value of 3 euros, can be purchased at post offices, through Correos Market, or by contacting the Philatelic Service at the following address atcliente.filatelia@correos.com or by calling 915 197 197. The print run is limited to 72,000 units.

With a horizontal design of 74.6 x 28.8 mm and details printed by offset and foil, this philatelic piece pays tribute to those who, with a spirit of service, discipline and sense of duty, watch over national security within and beyond our borders.
