
155 new officers and NCOs have received today their Royal Dispatches in a ceremony presided over by the Minister of Defense, Margarita RoblesHe congratulated the graduates for starting "a professional career with which you are going to serve your country.
For the first time in the history of the Academy, women outnumber men among the new graduates, marking a milestone in the military education of the Common Bodies of the Armed Forces.
Compared to the nearly 70 students who graduated twelve years ago, the current figure represents an increase of 131% in the number of graduates, consolidating the Academy as a training pillar of excellence.
Minister Robles stressed that "now the most difficult part begins: to serve Spain, each within his or her specialty, at all times and in all places".

Female participation has been key to this growth. In specialties such as Pharmacy (90%), Psychology and Nursing (70%) and Medicine (52%), women dominate enrollment.
Also noteworthy is its presence in Intervention (67%). On the other hand, the Military Legal Corps is still predominantly male (69%), as well as the Music specialtywhere men account for almost 90%.
The Central Defense Academyacademically linked to the University of Alcalá de Henaresis the formative core of the Common Bodies and forms an essential part of the Spanish academic-military fabric.
With this new promotion, the Armed Forces strengthen their structure with highly qualified personnelprepared to act in operational, health, legal and logistical contexts, both on national territory and in international missions.
