The closing ceremony of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Course, given by the Combat Engineer Battalion No. 7 General Carlos Alb\u00e1n Estupi\u00f1\u00e1n, was successfully completed. A total of 47 military personnel - 32 non-commissioned officers and 15 professional soldiers, including two female non-commissioned officers - received their certification after successfully completing the demanding technical and operational training process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The protocol ceremony marked the beginning of a new stage for these soldiers, who are now fully trained to intervene in areas of operations where the threat of improvised explosive devices represents a high risk for both the civilian population and the deployed troops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The work these men and women will perform will be essential to guarantee the mobility of the military forces, protect the lives of Colombians and support operations in regions in the southeast of the country historically affected by the armed conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
