In the training area of Debrecen, Hungary, a demanding joint Close Quarters Combat (CQB) exercise concluded, bringing together units of the Italian contingent and the 11th Mechanized Brigade of the Hungarian Army, both integrated in the Battle Group NATO - Forward Land Forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The exercise involved light infantry platoons from the \"Aosta\" Brigade and specialized personnel from the 4th Reggimento Genio Guastatori of Palermo. The units conducted simulated close combat operations in urban environments, with the aim of perfecting tactical techniques and improving operational coordination between allied forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the activity, movement, reconnaissance, building encirclement and room clearing maneuvers were executed, as well as simulated ambushes on armored vehicles. The Genio Guastatori played a key role in breaching and removing structural obstacles, critical tasks in high-intensity urban combat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
