{"id":2241,"date":"2025-05-20T17:41:56","date_gmt":"2025-05-20T15:41:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/defensanews.com\/?p=2241"},"modified":"2025-05-20T17:41:59","modified_gmt":"2025-05-20T15:41:59","slug":"la-ministra-de-defensa-reafirma-el-compromiso-con-la-industria-nacional-de-defensa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/defensanews.com\/en\/defense-minister-reaffirms-commitment-to-national-defense-industry\/","title":{"rendered":"Defense Minister reaffirms commitment to national defense industry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Minister of Defense, <strong>Margarita Robles<\/strong>The meeting was held on Monday with executives from eighteen Spanish companies in the security and defense sector, in the framework of the <strong>Industrial and Technological Plan for Security and Defense<\/strong>The company's commitment to the modernization of strategic capabilities and the promotion of domestic industry was reinforced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-encuentro-con-los-principales-actores-del-sector\">Meeting with the main players in the sector<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>During the meeting, held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense, Robles thanked the companies for their active participation in the latest edition of <strong>FEINDEF<\/strong>The event's success is a reflection of the potential of the Spanish industry in the international arena.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\"Spanish industry has come out of the event greatly strengthened. Everyone's effort has been incredible and has projected a solid image of Spain abroad,\" said the minister, who was accompanied by the <strong>Secretary of State for Defense, Amparo Valcarce<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-un-plan-estrategico-con-vision-de-futuro\">A forward-looking strategic plan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Minister stressed that the Industrial and Technological Plan is the result of a sustained effort by the Ministry, with many hours of planning and coordination: \"Nothing has been left to chance. We have made a firm commitment and we will continue to move forward,\" said Robles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Plan contemplates priority programs led by Defense and is based on close collaboration with key companies in the sector to guarantee its execution and sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-empresas-participantes-y-objetivos-del-plan\">Participating companies and objectives of the plan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the companies present at the meeting were such industry leaders as <strong>Indra, Navantia, Airbus, Telef\u00f3nica, GMV, Hisdesat, Expal, Sener, GDELS-SBS, Instalaza, ITP Aero, Escribano, TESS, Arquimea, Urovesa, Aicox, Sapa Placencia and Grupo Oes\u00eda<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The objectives of the Plan focus on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Modernize national defense capabilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reduce external technological dependence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promote innovation, training and dual technologies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strengthen the national industrial fabric with territorial cohesion and employment generation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Consolidate Spain as a reliable partner within the European Union.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Collaboration between the Ministry and the private sector remains a strategic pillar to ensure the country's technological development and sovereignty in security and defense.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La ministra de Defensa, Margarita Robles, sostuvo este lunes una reuni\u00f3n con directivos de dieciocho empresas espa\u00f1olas del sector seguridad y defensa, en el marco del Plan Industrial y Tecnol\u00f3gico para la Seguridad y la Defensa, reforzando el compromiso del Gobierno con la modernizaci\u00f3n de las capacidades estrat\u00e9gicas y el impulso a la industria nacional.
