Three alleged members of a GAOr Structure One cell were captured in a joint operation led by the Armed Forces and the Attorney General's Office, responsible for recruiting indigenous minors in a state of vulnerability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During an operation in the municipality of Carur\u00fa, Vaup\u00e9s, aliases 'Liso', 'T\u00edo' and 'Toribio' were captured, accused of belonging to a network dedicated to the illegal recruitment of minors. The operation was carried out by the Colombian Aerospace Force, the National Army, the National Police and the Attorney General's Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The detainees are charged with the crimes of aggravated conspiracy to commit a crime, illegal recruitment and illegal possession of firearms for the private use of the Armed Forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The investigation revealed a criminal scheme that focused on the forced recruitment of indigenous minors. Alias 'Liso' profiled the victims, while alias 'T\u00edo', posing as a student, gained the trust of the minors through gifts, threats or hallucinogenic substances. For his part, alias 'Toribio' was in charge of the transfers to illegal camps in jungle areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These actions were aimed at reinforcing the ranks of the Grupo Armado Organizado Organizado residual (GAOr) Estructura Primera, using minors as tools of war and subjecting them to inhumane conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Colombian Aerospace Force highlighted that this operation is part of the institutional commitment to the defense of children's rights and the protection of indigenous communities historically affected by violence.
