Ecuador's Security Bloc has made significant progress in the fight against organized crime during the first half of 2025. Under the strategic direction of President Daniel Noboa Azin, 96 tons of drugs have been seized throughout the country, preventing approximately 96 million doses from reaching Ecuadorian homes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
From January 1 to June 26, the Armed Forces have carried out more than 177,000 military operations, with an outstanding presence in the provinces most affected by violence and drug trafficking: Guayas, Manab\u00ed, Esmeraldas, Los R\u00edos, El Oro and Pichincha. These actions reflect the State's commitment to reestablish territorial control over the mafias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the greatest achievements has been the seizure of more than 863,000 gallons of fuel, an essential resource for illicit activities such as drug trafficking, illegal mining and clandestine transportation. This measure not only impacts criminal logistics, but also protects the environment and vulnerable communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition, 1,331 firearms, 30,878 rounds of ammunition, 122,639 explosives and more than $655,000 in cash were seized, funds that would have financed illegal armed structures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Security Bloc has destroyed 4 clandestine airstrips, 4 boats, 25 dredges, 174 excavators, 121 illegal mine entrances and 870 clandestine couplings used by criminal organizations. These actions limit the operational capacity of the mafias and send a clear message: the State will not give ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
More than 36,000 people have been apprehended during the operations and brought to justice as part of a comprehensive strategy to restore peace in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
