Accompanied by the Secretary of State, Amparo Valcarce, Robles stressed the Government's commitment to state-of-the-art technologies as part of the path towards greater sovereignty in security and defense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-ceus-y-cedea-tecnologia-nacional-al-servicio-de-la-defensa\">CEUS and CEDEA: national technology at the service of defense<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The CEUS, together with the Experimentation Center (CEDEA), constitutes an essential infrastructure for the development of medium and large drones (RPAS), acting as the technological hub of the so-called Corredor de la Plata, which connects the west of Spain from Huelva to Asturias. These facilities, which depend on INTA, allow flight tests and the validation of systems with strategic potential in both the military and civil fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-sirtap-un-dron-militar-con-sello-espanol\">SIRTAP, a military drone with a Spanish stamp<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among the most noteworthy projects is the <strong>SIRTAP<\/strong>the first fully Spanish military drone, developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Defense. This advanced intelligence system represents a milestone for the national industry and is currently the most relevant program of the sector in Asturias. \"Investment in Defense generates employment and strengthens the industrial fabric\", said the Secretary of State during the visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-formacion-innovacion-y-futuro-industrial\">Training, innovation and industrial future<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CEUS will train the pilots who will operate these unmanned systems: five for the Army and four for the Air and Space Forces. This center is in addition to other key initiatives in Andalusia, such as the Army Logistics Base in Cordoba and the Technology Center in Jaen, consolidating the region's leadership in military and civilian innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-una-ubicacion-estrategica-en-europa\">A strategic location in Europe<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The CEUS has 75 hectares, a 2-kilometer runway and a one-million-hectare no-fly zone, allowing more than 330 operational days per year thanks to its exceptional weather conditions.
