Spain reaffirms its commitment to the defense of Ukraine in bilateral meeting at FEINDEF
Spain's Minister of Defense, Margarita RoblesThe Ukrainian President reiterated on Tuesday his support for Ukraine during a meeting with the Ukrainian Minister of Strategic Industries, Herman Smetaninheld within the framework of the International Defense Exhibition (FEINDEF).
The meeting took place during the new day of the fair, which is being held in Madrid, and has allowed strengthening bilateral cooperation tieswith the common objective of advancing towards the recovery of peace and stability in the European country.
Spain, steadfast in its support for Ukraine since the beginning of the invasion
Since the beginning of the Russian invasion in February 2022, Spain has maintained a sustained support for Ukraineincluding the shipment of defensive and sanitary materials, as well as the training of Ukrainian servicemen and fighters in the framework of the European Union military assistance mission (EUMAM-UA).
During the meeting, Robles reaffirmed the commitment of the Spanish government to continue collaborating in all possible areas to strengthening Ukrainian defense and resilience in the face of external aggression.
Spanish industry prepared to respond to Ukraine's needs
The minister also highlighted the capacity of the spanish defense industrycharacterized by its high technological level and international prestigeto develop industrial solutions adapted to the requirements of the conflict.
This type of bilateral meetings in the context of FEINDEF allows to advance in strategic agreements, boost industrial cooperation and strengthening institutional and technical ties between Spain and Ukrainewith a shared vision of peace, security and reconstruction.
